COMMUNICATION

We primarily use Telegram for coordinating. You can also find us on Facebook and Instagram. Social links are below (and at the bottom of every page). We also have a Zello channel. It is an app kept open in the background of your phone that acts like a (walkie-talkie) radio.

LODGING

South Side Camping: There is camping at the South Side (Flight Park State Recreation Area). It's a state park and camp fees can be paid online or in person, at the stand near the restroom.

FLYING SITES

Review our exceptional site guides, linked here. By far, our most beginner-friendly site is the South Side but please be aware of the hazards, per the site guide. The North Side requires a bit more respect. And our many mountain sites require the most respect of all, plus some advanced weather knowledge; See next panel. Please reach out on Telegram for inquiries about weather and mountain flying, and sign the waivers.

WEATHER

The weather station at the South Side is used for both Point of the Mountain Sites. For the mountains, we recommend you study the Weather to Fly infographic and watch the corresponding weather seminar by Lisa Verzella, embedded in the infographic, along with other links. We recommend using WindAlert app (or similar) for an overview of valley flow and for gust-front detection. Please reach out on Telegram for inquiries about weather and mountain flying.

INSTRUCTION & SAFETY

We have many paragliding and hang gliding instructors and several safety documents and resources. Please reach out for the support you need to fly safe.

MEMBERSHIP & WAIVERS

Some of our sites are world-renowned but delicate. By paying dues and signing waivers, you enable us to preserve, maintain, and insure these flying sites.
