USHPA Chapter Status Update
Although UHGPGA was unable to complete the chapter renewal process for 2025, the required documentation for 2026 chapter renewal has been submitted. Harry has also been in communication with USHPA officers. The club is seeking to renew chapter status in order to obtain third-party liability insurance for chapter activities and landowners.
We are currently awaiting review and approval from USHPA and the Recreation Risk Retention Group.
Note: While the club does not currently have third-party liability insurance, individual pilots who are USHPA members are eligible for third-party liability coverage as a member benefit.

Legislative and Legal Updates
We thank David Shallenberger (Utah House of Representatives) for sponsoring a bill to protect the North and South Sides at Point of the Mountain from development that could inhibit their use as airports and flight parks. Although the bill was essentially tabled, we appreciate the ongoing discussion and support for our sport and sites.
While residential and commercial development continues in the vicinity of the Point of the Mountain flight parks, club members and officers are working strategically with developers and city officials to maintain and improve the flight parks and preserve their future use.
